What's the difference between OEM, OEM-C, Generic, etc.?

OEM Cartridges:

OEM represents the phrase "Original Equipment Manufacturer" which is generally associated with the brand name of the manufacturer.

OEM-C Cartridges:

OEM-C cartridges (or compatible) are targeted to meet or exceed OEM performance.  These are simply OEM cartridges that are compatible with several different fax, printer, or copier models.  The use of Compatible cartridges does not void Printer Warranty, which is proven by the following US Congress New Legislation!

Generic Cartridges:

Generic cartridges are specially manufactured to meet or exceed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications and high standards of quality and reliability and offer high-quality printing results. Manufactured 100% brand new, containing only new components, they are an economical alternative to expensive name-brand cartridges and supplies, and allow for big savings over brand-name cartridges and supplies. What are Remanufactured Inkjet Cartridges?

What are Remanufactured Laser Cartridges?

Remanufactured laser cartridges have been remanufactured to perform the same as, or better than new.  This is a process that includes: disassembly, cleaning, replacing worn parts, i.e. wiper blade, doctor blade, drum, recovery blade, and any other parts that may have excessive wear from the previous cycle.  The hopper is then heat sealed, and refilled with toner either matching or exceeding the original specifications.  The cartridge is then reassembled, tested, labeled and packaged for use.

What does this mean for you?

This simply means that the manufacturer of the machine you are using cannot void the warranty because you use supplies and products manufactured by a third party manufacturer, UNLESS they provide those supplies to you at no cost, which is typical for leased equipment.

How do I return empty cartridges?

If you have a cartridge that requires the return of your empty, or if you have empty cartridges that you would like recycled, FJAproducts.com will provide a Return Label. You will receive the label via email, which you can then print, and affix to the box for return, please note that all empty cartridge returns cannot be mailed via priority mail, first class only. The label you receive will contain detailed instructions for returning your empties.
